Andrea's blogroll:
My blogroll links the topics of feminism/education/youth projects, since those topics relate to my own use of blogs. There are two categories: Project Blogs are just updated for the time of the project and later turn into a documentary site - I like to use blogs this way, but it doesn't make sense to add them to a feed. I still list both categories here:
1. Project-focused & temporary blogs:
- WACK: blog for the exhibition project WACK: ART AND THE FEMINIST REVOLUTION, March – July, 2007
- project walkway: blog for a workshop where young women create custom hacks for existing footwear. March – May 2008. Authors: Norene Leddy, Bayard Rustin Academy for Art and Music and Eyebeam
- WOMEN CINEMA: historical survey of experimental films and videos made by women in the United States from 1940 to the present, October 2008
- visualize your voice: a documentation of the Workshop Visualize Your Voice - Feminism&Visualizing. I organized this workshop in cooperation with Eva Lausegger, Vienna, July 2008
2. Ongoing:
- womensrights.change: about the “… the continued struggles within a women's movement that began over 200 years ago with the work and activism of proto-feminist Mary Wollstonecraft” the blog deals with definitions of a ‘third wave feminism’ on general and up-to-date topics, like, women and elections.
- Rachel's Spot: by Rachel Raimist, a “Feminist Studies doctoral candidate in the DEPARTMENT OF GENDER, WOMEN, AND SEXUALITY STUDIES at the UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA”, also: “a mother, a filmmaker, a hip-hop feminist, an activist, community organizer, …”
- martina-berthold.at: by Martina Berthold, an Austrian Green Party politician, about gender and Diversity and Austrian Politics
- woman with a movie camera: my own blog, a loose collection of ideas on feminist theory, visual culture, visual media & sound. Most of those topics are related to my own artwork, or workshops that I organize or teach. I also set links to exhibitions, events and artists that I like, with the intention or idea of creating a feminist (art)
- to be continued...

- After Sunday: A personal blog I began in 2005 and stopped updating in 2006. During a group trip to New Orleans to help with the cleanup after Hurricane Katrina, I used the blog to keep our church updated on the day to day work we were doing. At the time, there was a free internet service where you could phone in audio updates and automatically plug them into your blog (I can't remember the name, it's gone out of business since then) so I also had audio in the blog.
